You’ve probably heard the expression it’s like watching paint dry, well at Collins Constructions we really like watching concrete dry. That is why we have recently announced our exciting new specialised concreting division. Collins Concreting is out to change the way that concreting is done.

Director Pelham Collins saw a gap in the market and in alignment with his own service-based branding, wanted to create a niche offering.

“I found that there was a need and demand in my own business and in Far North Queensland for a concentrated concreting division which allows us to offer specialised commercial and residential concreting throughout the region” – Pelham.

Collins Concreting will adopt Collins Constructions high level of customer service and delivery of a fine product. As always, the paramount focus will be on-site safety and quality. Cleanliness and respect for surroundings in commercial and residential environments is also important to the company.

At Collins Constructions we see Cairns for all that it is worth, the beauty in the contrast of the old and new which exists in our (not so small) town. From heritage-listed relics dating back to the 1900s like the Boland’s Centre in the city to Cairns’ most recent modern establishment, the Bailey.

We work with all of these beautiful buildings, understanding the differences in which time and technology have changed structures and techniques. After all, things were done slightly differently over a century ago.

Recently CCFNQ had the pleasure to work with the Bolands’ centre undertaking restorative works in order to maintain the building’s persona and integrity. Working within the bones of a building built over a century ago was certainly a contrast to the modern and innovative office spaces which we often create.
